Unlearn grind culture.

One conversation at a time.

COMMUNAL is a space for professionals of color to rest, set boundaries and build collective care — without the pressure to hustle.

“As a person of color continuing to navigate the workplace, I found COMMUNAL to be incredibly encouraging and helpful. It provided a much-needed platform to connect with other people of color… and find actionable solutions to the unique challenges we face. I’m excited to see how COMMUNAL continues to grow.”

“I love, love how you all curate every Peer Support Circle. I always leave refreshed.”

  • Why COMMUNAL? Because professionals of color deserve space to slow down.

  • We're navigating workplaces — and a world — that was not built for us. It's no wonder we're tired.

  • COMMUNAL exists so we don't have to carry it alone. We create space to unlearn grind culture, practice boundaries and imagine new ways of being — together.

What We’re Cultivating

  • An intimate community platform

Join us on Heartbeat, our container for connection, reflection and care. This is our private space to build community, crowdsource resources and check in between virtual gatherings.

  • Culture-shifting conversations

We host lightly facilitated spaces every month to name what’s hard— and remind each other we are not alone. From peer support circles to guided conversations on navigating change, racial battle fatigue and collective care, every gathering invites us to examine what it means to pursue individual and collective liberation.

  • 1:1 support at your pace

Looking for support getting oriented or navigating something heavy? Our founders are always here to listen and facilitate warm connections as needed. You can also sign up for weekly, bimonthly or monthly 1:1 match-ups with other members.

Ready to come home to yourself? COMMUNAL is here when you’re ready to slow down, speak honestly and be held in community. Whether you show up once a month or once in a while, you are welcome here.
